How is our daily life affected by Buddhism

1. On a tray, we go for a visit to a grave. By the visit to a grave, we worship it from a green deep person to the deceased sequentially. Because the sun set in the due west in the Vernal Equinox Day, it was thought that I was western with the day when the said Buddhists’ paradise and world crossed. We came to do a visit to a grave to hold a service for an ancestral soul in this time. The reason is because it is said that a heart is easy to go the Buddhists paradise most.
2. On the equinoctial week of the spring when the flower of the peony blooms, we eat a rice dumpling covered with red bean paste. On the other hands, on the autumn equinoctial week when a flower of a common reed blooms, we eat a rice dumpling covered with bean jam.
3. When we eat meal, we must not prick the rice with chopsticks. Originally, because prick to rice when a person died.
4. The twelve horary signs to express the sexagenary cycle are used for the current time and the indication of the direction.
5. When I cook rice, we offer it for the deceased at the altar. I think this is a small token of our gratitude.

  1. I think equinoctial week is a good example. In the week, my grandmother makes a lot of ohagis. My family members enjoy eating them, but we don't care about the reason we eat ohagis during the week.
